On my last visit to India, I was hoping that I could get some portraits of Indian people though I wasn’t thinking of a collection of only Indian children. But it was really great that the children were interested in being captured and often asked me to take some photos of them. Sometimes it was hard to leave them and they would follow me quite a long way from their homes. It was one of the best moments of my life that I saw the joy in their eyes when I showed them their photo on the camera LCD screen.
This is a series of close-up portraits of Indian children from the north and west of India. Photos were taken in March 2014 at Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur.
